Surendra Bahadur Bista (b. 2030 BS, Chaitra 12) is a prominent Nepalese politician known for his significant contributions as the Mayor of Bhimdatta Municipality from 2074 to 2079 BS. Born in Bhimdatta Municipality Ward No. 4, Surendra grew up in a humble farming family. His father, Bir Bahadur Bista, was involved in trade and agriculture, while his mother, Pashupati Bista, was a devoted homemaker. Surendra began his formal education at Shri Bhuvaneshwari Secondary School in Parshuram Municipality Ward No. 5, Dadeldhura. His involvement in the 2036 BS student movement inspired him to join the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU).
